Words that are given wings to take flight from one person to another, hopefully to give them a glimpse of an otherwise quiet and withdrawn woman who is... Heidi.

Missing Friends

May 21, 2007

This morning, I got a memo that I have to attend a seminar in August as second part of a seminar I attended last year.  Now I have to attend it alone though, since the officemate/friend that I attended it with the last time has already asked for a transfer of department…  I started thinking of my other friends… I have lost contact with most of my friends… Some of them have gone to other countries to seek employment there and some of them are still here yet I have somehow lost contact with.

Why?

May 18, 2007

Someone told me that her marriage, mind you they just got married February of this year, is already on the rocks.  This was a shock to me since she has announced a couple of weeks ago that she was indeed pregnant again.  I say again because before they got married, she has already given birth to a bouncing baby boy.  In fact her baby is only six months old now…

Blue Nails

May 15, 2007

Election has come and gone once again… everywhere I look I see nails stained with indelible ink.  Ha! Where else do you see a country that has to use indelible ink to make sure that there wouldn't be flying voters?

In the Red

May 12, 2007

Red took on a new meaning for me these past couple of days… I got sore eyes!  Kainis talaga… buti na lang today it's getting better na so I can see clearer na.  Yesterday my vision was super blurred plus I had to wash my eyes (actually my face na rin kasi hindi naman detachable yung eyes ko, ngek!) often to ease the heat I felt was coming out of them.  Problem is… now that my eyes are less red and I have better vision, I have colds naman and I feel a sore throat coming on. Hay, summer really is not my good season, I can't seem to thrive without events like these everytime the temperature rises.  Buti na lang Charlie's very attentive.  Now my only worry is the increasing paperwork I have to tackle when I go back to the office on Tuesday!

Snippets

May 7, 2007

What have I been up to lately? Well I've been busy, busy, busy….

May 1 - General Cleaning at home, super tiring specially since my only help these days is my youngest sister (she refuses to be called baby sister, which is understandable since she's entering college come June) who is staying at our house for the summer.  We also re-arranged the furniture in the living room and re-planted my new and old plants.

May 2 - Was not able to go to work because I had slight fever and was aching all over, hahaha! That's what you

The Crying Game

April 30, 2007

When we were kids we cry when we’re hungry, hurt or to catch the attention of our parents.  As we grow older the reasons for crying becomes more complicated.  I remember crying so hard that I had an asthma attack when we were mourning the death of my grandfather.  I was only 16 then… And although I only laugh about it now, I remember crying when I had my first heartache… after a super juvenile relationship… which I then considered to be a love affair, hehehe!  Lately, I cry for the most stupid

Paper

April 26, 2007

One year ago, today… I walked down the isle and in front of God, my family and friends, said “I do” to the man I love.  Hard to believe that we have been married for 365 days.  It seems that time really just breezes by when you’re with someone you love.  I’ll have to admit that there were rough days.  Days when I’ve discovered a bad habit or we’ve exchanged words that were tough to take but they were just minute drops in our sea of love, happiness and generally peaceful companionship.  Despite the fact that our marriage has yet to be blessed with a baby, I’m really happy.  This morning, when I woke up, I smiled to myself because this is the 365th morning I have waken up beside Charlie.  I thank the good Lord that He has given me a man with so much patience no matter how bad my moods become.  A man who is hard-working and conscientious so I don’t have to worry so much about our finances.  A man who is willing to learn new things and is eager to discuss dreams and ambitions with his wife.  A man who is driven by high hopes and belief in God.

To you, my beloved Charlie… Happy 1st Anniversary… I love you so much!
