Blue Nails
May 15, 2007Election has come and gone once again… everywhere I look I see nails stained with indelible ink. Ha! Where else do you see a country that has to use indelible ink to make sure that there wouldn't be flying voters?
I don't want to be super negative about these things but are they even sure someone out there has not thought of something to hurdle this small obstacle if they were really that desperate to manufacture more votes in their favor? Filipinos are ingenious after all! Ok, ok so I said no negative talk… I lied! Hahaha! Seriously though, I really, truly pray that the Philippines would be able to get out of the puddle that it has been for the past (I don't know how many) years. I mean, I don't think anyone would be proud to live in a country known for being corrupt. Besides, if everyone really wants change… and this change would mean a better Philippines… why couldn't everyone just get along and work alongside one another without thinking of what side or party he or she belongs to? It may be to idealistic of me to talk of things like these and I may not know the ins and outs of politics but hey, one can dream…
